This week begins with the need for you to find an equilibrium in action and rest. The full moon usually causes an increase in energy all around but the specific placement of this moon begs us to rest just as much as we are active. Doing this will help you feel secure in your ability to endure any life challenges. Another tool that is helpful at the start of the week is listening. Take extra care to really listen when others are talking to you. Make eye contact and repeat points back to them so you aren’t just thinking of what you are going to say next. Listen first, then ponder your response. If feelings of pessimism or gloom beset you, spend some time alone listening inward. If you don’t already have a meditation practice, something simple to implement is merely counting your breath. As you breath in begin to count and when you start to breath out make the counts match. So if you inhale for a count of 4 then exhale for a count of 4. Paying attention to the breath is the first step of inward listening.
Midweek you might find some troubles in your marriage or partnerships. Keep practicing your listening skills! It will help to take a step back, notice your emotions and ask yourself “why do i feel this way about what that person did/said?”. Our emotions are always related to what’s within us even though sometimes we feel like others cause our emotions. Also this is definitely a time to stick to your routines which will lead to innovation in your life. Another key here is nourishment. Spend some time in water if possible; ocean, lake, river, bathtub, whatever you have available and let the water bring emotional healing.
Toward the end of the week you will find comfort in the mystical, philosophical aspects of life. Especially if feelings of anxiety or anger arise, reset yourself by diving into a good book or inviting an uplifting, supportive friend out for a meal. Surround yourself with people or activities that enhance your confidence. Focusing on discipline and self-control will help life flow a bit more smoothly as this is not a time for procrastination or laziness. The weekend is an especially good time to finish something that’s been hanging over your head. If you need support or inspiration in this area, take time to connect to your faith and devotion to something greater than yourself. Anything at all. For some of you it may be God or family or a charity. Whatever brings you comfort and hope for life and humanity, make it a priority this weekend. Reseting your internal life in this manner will help you keep up with life and prepare you for the action of Monday.
